What is a Newborn Care Specialist?
Also frequently known as a baby nurse or night nanny, a Newborn Care Specialist assists mom and dad with their new baby, helping them get adjusted and assisting them with any needs they may have with the care of their newborn. A Newborn Care Specialist is professionally trained in many areas including: newborn care, scheduling, colic, reflux, sleep training, ailments, preemies, multiples, formulas, breastfeeding and natural health.

What does a Newborn Care Specialist do?
* Educate and assist parents in proper techniques to care for their baby
* Maintain a log of feeding, sleeping and behavioral patterns
* Assist with any and all feeding issues, including reflux, formula intolerance, bottle preparation and cleaning
* Swaddle, soothe and comfort the baby
* All grooming care (diapering, bathing, circumcision, clipping nails)
* Maintenance of nursery, tend to all baby related chores
* Create schedule and assist with sleep training, teaching baby nights (sleep time) and days (awake time), if desired
* Lovingly care for baby through the night so parents can get much needed rest
