In fact you can play guitar or bass using all seven of the modes known as: IONIAN, DORIAN, PHRYGIAN, AEOLIAN, MIXOLYDIAN, LOCRIAN & LYDIAN--and you can do it in moments! Even if you do not know any music theory.
My Modes Method is in use by many guitar players to give them the correct notes to all seven modes instantly. The only thing you have to memorize is one location of notes across all six strings. My Method offers instruction on how far to move this position up or down the neck in order to play every mode in all twelve keys. Sounds crazy, right? Hi Dan, your mode lesson came and I知 very excited about it, very clever of you to come up with this system! I knew just by reading it before picking up my guitar that it will help a lot, it goes well with the basic theory I already know and I知 getting the results I知 looking for. I want to get a looping device box next so I can have the backing track like you mentioned, I will use a tape recorder until then. I知 so glad to be finally breaking out of pentatonic prison!
