Child Autism Therapy Program Seeks Volunteers

Join our "gold medal" team of volunteers, and cure autism one child at a time! 


Participate in our “Son-Rise” program to help recover our 10-year-old daughter. It's a love-, creativity- and positive-attitude-based play therapy that autistic children and their volunteers enjoy.  It's an opportunity to learn a lot about autism, gain real-world experience (especially for those college students studying psychology, health - like pre-meds, pre-nursing, etc, speech pathology, education, and have a really satisfying experience. Many children who "graduate" from this type of program show no traces of autism. (The original "Son-Rise child", Raun Kaufman, is one of the lead instructors and marketers at institute his parents created - check out www.option.org or www.son-rise.org to see him.) But they can only get there with hours of help from volunteers like you!  


Everything you need to know is taught here. You need no prior experience, just an open mind, a strong wanting to connect with an autistic child, and the ability to give 5-6 hours a week in Irving, TX (Las Colinas). All therapy occurs in a specially designed and monitored playroom.
